This year ladies can choose from: Lacey Pirate, Ruby, the Pirate Beauty, Renaissance Pirate, Seven Seas Pirate Wench, Sexy Pirate, & Mutiny, just to name a few. And the latest selections of pirate girl costumes are definitely sassy and fashion conscious. 'Miami Vice' Sinks 'Pirates' at the Box Office

After a three week run at the top, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest relinquished the top spot to "Miami Vice". According to CBSNews.com: "The film, which pairs Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx as the iconic TV characters Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, took in $25.2 million, compared to $20.5 million for 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest,' according to studio estimates Sunday." Pirates still came in second at the box office and now holds the title of the highest grossing Disney film of all time. That's nothing to shake a peg leg at!
No matter which movie is your favorite, AnniesCostumes.com has the costumes to help you portray your favorite movie characters. Don't worry, we haven't forgot about Detective Tubbs, his costume is on order and will be in stock in time for Halloween.

Which Halloween Costume Will Be More Popular?

Earlier, I posted about the Top Halloween Costumes for 2006. Last year Star Wars Costumes were a run away hit. In 2005 Star Wars costumes outsold everything else 2 to 1, easily; with Darth Vader being the top selling costume for children and adults. This year, we are having a debate about the top costumes for boys and men. At first glance, the obvious front runners are the Superman Returns Costume and the Captain Jack Sparrow Costume. After all, blockbuster movies like Superman Returns and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest usually have a strong influence on costume popularity. But, a certain Dark Sith Lord is definitely still in the running this year. Will Evil prevail once again? Stay tuned to find out: Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel - oops sorry, that's next year. Want to join our debate? Who do you choose as the most popular costume? Join in the fun! You can also tell us by voting in our Scarrry Halloween Survey.

Pirates of the Caribbean gets box office gold for the 3rd week in a row!

Here is my tribute to Johnny Depp & The Pirates of the Caribbean movie Dead Man's Chest for staying on top of the box office for the third week. According to News24.com, "Johnny Depp and his pirate friends are keeping all the box-office treasure for themselves. Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest remained the top movie for the third straight weekend in the United States on Sunday."
I believe it will be a similar story come Halloween time when Captain Jack Sparrow costumes will be as popular as the movie is now. The Dead Man's Chest Costumes are available in child and adult sizes. We also carry the pirate hat with the dreads, boot covers and a very cool Davey Jones octopus tentacle mask. As you can see our official, licensed adult size Captain Jack Sparrow costume is a very close replica of the costume worn by Johnny Depp in the movie sequel. The adult size Jack Sparrow costume sells for $49.95. The deluxe pirate hat with beads and braids sells for $25.95 and the pirate boot covers sell for 11.95. They are all available for sale online at www.anniescostumes.com!
